Anatomy of a set

How a gel set is built.

  1. 01

    Prep

    Nails are shaped and the cuticle area tidied — done dry, with no soaking — so the gel has a clean surface to hold on to.

  2. 02

    Base

    A thin gel base goes on and is cured under the lamp. For extensions and overlays, this is where length and strength are built.

  3. 03

    Colour

    Gel colour, a French, a fade or hand-painted art — layered thin and cured between coats so it stays even.

  4. 04

    Top coat

    A high-gloss top coat seals everything in. One last cure and your nails leave the studio hard and dry — no waiting.

How do I book an appointment?

Call the studio you'd like to visit — tap "Book an appointment" anywhere on this site to see every studio's number. The studio confirms your time on the call.

Do you use acrylic or regular polish?

Neither. NAILISHQ works with gel only — gel extensions, gel overlays and gel colour.

How long does gel polish last?

Typically about two to three weeks with normal wear.

How much does it cost?

It depends on length, finish and art. The studio shares pricing when you enquire, so they can suggest the right option for your nails.

What are your opening hours?

Banjara Hills is open every day, 11 am to 8 pm. Gachibowli is open Tuesday to Sunday, 11 am to 8 pm, and closed on Mondays. Kokapet is open every day, 11 am to 8 pm, from 1 November 2026.
